The service
Army Body Fat Calculator is a free, independent reference site that reproduces publicly available U.S. Army body composition formulas, tables and program information in calculator form. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to the U.S. Army, the Department of Defense, or any government agency. 'Army' and related terms are used descriptively, to identify the standards the calculators implement.
Estimates, not determinations
Every result on this site is an estimate produced by a published formula or table, provided for information and self-checking only. Results are not official determinations of body composition, eligibility, or compliance with any standard, and they create no rights or expectations in any administrative process. Official determinations are made exclusively by the responsible military authorities using their own procedures. Body composition policy changes over time; although the site works to track the governing regulations and directives, no warranty is given that any page reflects the guidance in force on the day you read it. Nothing on this site is medical advice, and nothing here substitutes for the advice of a medical provider or a chain of command.
Acceptable use
You may use the calculators and tables freely for personal reference, and link to any page. You may not misrepresent results from this site as official findings, use the site in a way that disrupts its operation, or reproduce the site's written content wholesale without permission. Short quotations of figures and table values with a link back are welcome.
